Two Purposes, One Heart: Starting Two.B While Pregnant With Sofia

When I was pregnant with Sofia, my world felt like it was expanding in two directions at once. My body was preparing to welcome a new life, and my mind was quietly dreaming  of building something meaningful of my own.

That’s when the idea for Two.B truly began to take shape.

Pregnancy is a time when everything slows down and speeds up at the same time.
You  feel  the  urgency of time passing, but you also feel the weight of every moment. I  remember sitting with my thoughts, thinking about the kind of life I wanted for my children.  Not just the life I could give them but the example I wanted to set.

I wanted them to grow up seeing that it’s possible to create something from an idea.
To build something honest.
To build something beautiful.

But there was another truth quietly living beside that dream.

I also wanted to be there.

Not the version of a parent who is always rushing, always saying “later,” always answering emails instead of listening to stories.
I wanted to be present for the small moments: morning cuddles, school pickups, the  quiet  afternoons  that turn into memories without you even noticing.

And that’s when I realized something no one really talks about.

When you become a parent and an entrepreneur at the same time, you are living with
two purposes in one heart.

One purpose pushes you outward.
It tells you to build, to create, to grow, to leave a mark on the world.
The other pulls you inward.

It tells you to slow down, to hold your children close, to be present for the tiny  moments
 that pass too quickly.

For a long time, I thought those two purposes were in conflict. Like I had to choose  between being ambitious and being available.

But starting Two.B while pregnant with Sofia taught me something different.

Sometimes the two purposes are actually the same.

Two.B was never just about bags. It was never just about design, or building a brand.
It was about creating something that reflects a life philosophy: that beauty can exist in  the  everyday, that the small pleasures matter, and that meaningful things are often built  slowly.

And in those moments, I realized something powerful.

My children don’t just need my time.
They also need my example.

They need to see that their mother can dream.
That she can build.
That she can create something with patience and love.

One day, maybe Sofia will look at Two.B and see more than a brand.

Maybe she’ll see the late nights when I worked after she fell asleep.
Maybe she’ll see the mornings when I closed the laptop to sit on the floor and play.
Maybe she’ll understand that both of those things came from the same place.

Love.

Because the truth is, starting a business while raising children is not about balancing two  lives.

It’s about weaving them together.

And if one day my children are proud of Two.B, I hope it’s not just because it exists.

I hope it’s because they know why it exists.

It exists because their mother wanted to build something meaningful for the world…while never forgetting that they were the most meaningful thing she would ever create.
